The remodeled Food Bank is open throughout the week and provides free groceries and essential household items. Students may also receive housing referral services from Pathways of Hope, which is a local non-profit that partners with the college.

Expanding All Forms of Support for Students

Students are often surprised to hear of the level of support and free resources that become available to them after enrolling in classes.

Over the last year, basic needs and mental health support have continued to remain a top priority at the college. From offering free daily meal credits available for use at the Dining Hall, to free parking permits, free weekly groceries at the FC Food Bank, and increased mental health support, the college continues to radically support students inside and outside of the classroom.

One of the best examples of this is the launch of RAD Care in 2022, which stands for Reach Out, Ask for Help, and Do Something. RAD Care is a branch of Student Health Services and the Student Support Services Division which includes Behavioral Health Services.

Through the RAD Care campaign, the Behavioral Health Services team is keeping students informed about the variety of physical and behavioral health resources available. All students qualify for free individual therapy sessions and have access to a variety of mental health first-aid trainings, workshops, and small group meetings such as RAD Care Wednesdays. Fullerton College has also taken an equity approach by hiring therapists who specialize in supporting students of color and LGBTQIA2S+ students.

RAD Care along with the resources provided by the Food Bank, free meals, free parking permits and other forms of support show how Fullerton College supports students mentally, physically, and emotionally.
